How to use this guide

Glacier National Park is the Montana park, not Glacier Bay. The two share a word and almost nothing a traveler can use: one is in the Rockies on the Canadian border, the other is an Alaska park with its own inset on the atlas. The straight-line gap between their centroids is a map fact. It is not a suggestion that they belong in one itinerary.

Going-to-the-Sun Road has its own official page when that page is open. This guide does not copy opening dates, vehicle limits, or mileposts from it. Those change. The visitation chart shows a strong seasonal record of entries. It does not tell you whether the pass is clear.
