What this site stores, and what advertising may collect.

Park Trail Guide itself does not run an account system, a comment form, or a newsletter. The shortlist and the comparison are saved with localStorage in your browser under the keys parktrailguide.shortlist.v1 and parktrailguide.compare.v1. Those values stay on your device until you clear them. The site does not ask for your location.

The pages do load Google AdSense for publisher ca-pub-4447435649091319. Google can set cookies and collect device and usage data to serve and measure ads, including on behalf of its advertising partners. That is third-party collection. It would be false to say the owner collects nothing while that script is on the page.

This site does not ship its own consent-management banner and does not claim that a homemade notice would satisfy Google’s regional consent rules. Where the law requires a certified consent tool, the publisher still has to turn that on inside the AdSense account, using Google’s privacy and messaging tools or another Google-certified partner. A static page cannot finish that step.

The site does not include a separate analytics product. AdSense is the advertising script.
