How to use this guide
Hot Springs is the park whose anniversary-table line reaches back to 1832, and the table’s own note says that date marks a reservation that was later redesignated. Do not read 1832 as the year the bathhouses took their present form. The redesignation note is part of the fact.
The park is listed in Arkansas, and it sits in a city in a way many of the western parks do not. A small gross area and a visitation record that may not swing like a mountain park are planning clues, not a promise of an easy day. Services, water, and what the historic buildings currently offer belong on the park’s pages.
